Dear Friends,

What a difference a year makes! As we wrote to you at this time last year, we were still awash with the newness of the culture and the ministry here in Athens, and overwhelmed by the many desperate needs of the refugees. We were eagerly anticipating the arrival of our daughter (Sofia), and unsure what the next year would hold. We are glad to report that God’s grace has continued to sustain us throughout the many challenges of the previous year. God has proven faithful to His call in our lives. What an amazing God we serve!

It has only been in the last six months that we can honestly say that we have begun to find our place within the ministry here. God has faithfully provided opportunities to teach and serve – both to demonstrate and proclaim His love and salvation through Jesus Christ. Thank you for being a part of this, for partnering with us in God’s work here. With your encouragement, prayers, and gifts of support, you make this ministry possible. Deeply and sincerely, we thank you! As 2008 comes to an end, we ask that you would prayerfully consider a special year-end gift of support. In the midst of global financial uncertainty, we are reminded once again that exchange rates and investments do not deserve our faith. We trust in God alone, for He alone is faithful.

By God’s Grace,
Brett, Kristin & Sofia
