Here’s another article from today’s eKathimerini.com about the recent intensification of tensions between some within the Muslim migrant community and some Greeks – a minority in both cases.  Saturday a makeshift mosque was set ablaze in central Athens.  This is in addition to the protests and violence over the weekend.  Here’s a snippet from the eKathimerini.com report:

Makeshift mosque near center set on fire following migrant protest over Quran ‘defacing’ on Friday.

Five people were injured in an arson attack on a makeshift mosque early on Saturday, in an incident that seemed to be a result of the clashes in central Athens on Friday that followed the alleged desecration of a copy of the Quran by a police officer.

Police said that assailants broke a window to a basement in the neighborhood of Aghios Panteleimonas, near central Athens, at 2.45 a.m. on Saturday and then set fire to the room, which was used as a place of worship by migrants living in the area.

Please continue to pray!
