Would you pray for the group of Farsi-speakers going on an overnight retreat this week (Thursday-Friday)? Over the years, these retreats have proven to be a powerful means to see God’s work in the lives of refugees. The plan is simple: take 6-8 refugees, leave the city, study the Word. Because of cost barriers, we tend only to host these retreats when short-term mission trips bring a little extra cash. Such is the case for this retreat, as a church group from California is in town for two weeks.
Would you pray that our hearts would be open to God’s guidance in selecting who will come, what to teach, and how to come alongside His work in the lives of these refugees? Please pray that God’s work in these hearts would far exceed our greatest expectations… for His glory and for the sake of the nations. As always, thanks so much for your prayers!
