Loving the Overlooked – December 2009

Christmas Parties: Last week we hosted three Christmas outreach parties: each for 120 refugee friends, each geared towards a specific language group, and each lifting up Jesus as the center of our hope and celebration.   The parties were a great success!  See photos below.

[photo 1] – Each night local churches cooked, decorated, brought gifts, and connected with the refugees.  We praise God for their partnership!

[photo 2] – It was great to connect with friends: whether to encourage, to celebrate together, or to share the true meaning of Christmas.

[photo 3] – And, of course, gifts were given!  The children got toys, and the adults received a New Testament, a warm hat, gloves, and a scarf.

Year-End Giving: Would you consider supporting us with a special year-end gift?  We would deeply appreciate your partnership as our family and ministry expands!

Send checks to:
International Teams
411 W. River Rd.
Elgin, IL 60123

Make checks payable to “International Teams,” and include a note saying “for the ministry of the Sanner family – Athens, Greece.”

New Addition: On Wednesday (2 Dec 09), we welcomed the newest addition to our family: Emma Irini Sanner!  Weighing in at 4 kilos (8.8 lbs) and 53 cm (20.8 in), Emma arrived at 10:50am.   Almost two weeks later, all is well: baby, mother, dad, and Sofia (as she adjusts to sisterhood).  We thank God for His provision and grace – and thank you for your love and support!

By God’s Grace –
Brett, Kristin, Sofia, & Emma
