We’re back in Athens after a week in Beatenberg – a mountain village in central Switzerland.  Wow, talk about beautiful!  I didn’t know that these kinds of places really existed outside of the movies!  Breath-taking.  So, what was the occasion?  We gathered together with roughly 100 other International Teams workers from throughout Europe (plus a few other special guests) for a time of encouragement and growth!  And it was just that: a good balance between refreshment and input.  It was great to reconnect with friends and hear what God was doing in other ministries around the continent.  It was especially helpful to connect with the others serving refugees (just over half of the participants worked primarily with refugees).  Well anyhow, if a picture is worth a thousand words, here is a short dissertation:

Input: What does it mean to be a community of refugee ministries?
Refreshment: Amazed at God's glory in creation!
Sofia making friends in the playroom.
Emma enjoying the mountain greenery.
We took a quick tour of Geneva on our way back to Athens. Here is the "Reformation Wall" featuring (L to R) Farel, Calvin, Beza and Knox.

P.S. If you’re looking for a small conference venue in Europe, the guesthouse at the Seminary of Biblical Theology in Beatenberg is superb.  Good peoples.
