Happy Friday!  We spent yesterday with 11 families (nearly 40 refugees) at a retreat center just outside of Athens.  It was something of a health fair.  Three doctors volunteered their time to provide free check-ups for the refugee kids.  We talked about healthy eating and lifestyles with the parents.  We even had the opportunity to open up the scripture and see why God cares about how we treat our bodies.  Of course, as the doctors checked the kids, there was plenty of time to play outside with the kids who were waiting!  Much laughter and many gleeful squeals were heard throughout the day.

One refugee came up to a teammate afterward:

“R” came up to me and gave me a really big hug.  She said she hasn’t really laughed or been really happy in over a year, but today she was.  She told me she laughed so hard today she cried, and it felt good to have happy tears.

Thanks for being a part of God’s work here.  Below are a few pics from the event… plus one of Kristin at 38 weeks!
