Loving the Overlooked – September 2012

TRANSITIONS…

After five years in Athens, we’re back in the US – entering a new season of life and ministry.

It’s hard to believe that we’ve been back in the US for three months now! We’ve updated our sending churches and reconnected with many of you. At the moment, we’re staying outside of Springfield (IL) as Brett continues to pursue the right pastoral role. Until then, Brett is working at a bookstore and teaching as much as possible at churches, retreats, and other special events.

Kristin and the girls are adjusting well to life in the US. Kristin is working a couple of days a week at a local gym (childcare). And although the kids miss their friends in Greece, they are having fun making new friends and spending time with cousins and grandparents.

Thank you for your generosity over the past five years! At the end of the month (Sept. 30), we will officially end our ties with International Teams. Your financial contributions after Sept. 30th will no longer be forwarded to us. Here what you need to know: (1) If you do nothing (continue sending checks or using direct payment), your gifts will go into the general fund of International Teams (I.T.). This is a great way to support a great mission. (2) If you’d like to continue supporting the ministry in Athens (yes, please!), simply call 847-429-0900 and let I.T. know that you’d like your future support to be directed towards the ministry of Helping Hands in Athens. (3) If you’d like to discontinue your automatic giving (whether through your bank or credit card), simply call 847-429-0900 and let I.T. know that you’d like to cancel your automatic payments.

Thank you for your support and partnership! Please continue to pray for our family, the ongoing ministry of Helping Hands, and the refugees in Athens.

By God’s Grace,
Brett, Kristin, Sofia, Emma, & Joy
