I’m a pastor at LifePoint Church in Quincy, IL. My family has been in Quincy since 2013. As lead pastor, I oversee the teaching ministry, direct and develop the staff team, and develop our elder team and other leaders. I love the church and our team! Ministry is always challenging, but it’s an honor and joy to serve at LifePoint!
I came to LifePoint via Athens, Greece, where I served as a missionary among refugees for a half decade. You can learn more about our time in Athens here. Before Athens, I spent four years serving as an associate pastor for a church on Chicago’s south side (Go Sox!) and working with a homeless ministry. I’m a graduate of North Park University (Chicago, IL; B.A. Sociology) and Lincoln Christian Seminary (Lincoln, IL; MDiv Theology), and am currently completing coursework at Northern Seminary (Lombard, IL; DMin NT Context).
My wife (Kristin) and I met at North Park, and have been married since 2005. As the father of four young girls, I spend most of my free time playing with dolls and protecting princesses from imaginary dragons. But I also enjoy Chicago sports, jogging, and grilled meats.
I’d love to hear a bit about you. Leave a comment on a blog post, or feel free to connect on social media. As you’re exploring the site, you’ll find recent blog posts here, which concern all things gospel, missions, and leadership. My passion for these themes was largely born out of my work with refugees in Athens – so one corner of the site is dedicated as a record of our time there. And, just for a rainy day, you can also find more about sermons I’ve preached at LifePoint. Thanks for reading!
